Serene Steps is an nurse-founded senior care advisory and placement agency. Our placement services are provided at NO COST to families who place through Serene Steps. We’re here to make finding the right care for your loved one feel a little easier and a lot less overwhelming.
We take the time to get to know your loved one and understand what matters most to your family—from care needs and preferred location to lifestyle, personality, and budget. With a compassionate and personal approach, we’ll guide you through your options, answer your questions, and connect you with care settings that may be the right fit.

We start with a free consultation to learn about your loved one’s care needs, preferences, preferred location, lifestyle, and budget.
2. Receive Personalized Recommendations
Based on what matters most to your family, we research and recommend senior living options that may be the right fit.
3. Tour & Explore Your Options
We help coordinate tours, answer questions, and guide you through what to look for when comparing different communities and care settings.
4. Choose With Confidence
Once you’ve found the right option, we’ll support you through the placement process and help make the transition as smooth as possible.
Our placement services are free to families who complete the placement process with Serene Steps. If you decide to discontinue our services after the assessment and placement process has begun, an $800 assessment fee may apply.

Hello, I’m Sally Li, founder of Serene Steps. For more than 10 years, I’ve worked as a licensed home health nurse, caring for older adults and supporting families through some of life’s most important and emotional transitions.
Over the years, I’ve seen how vulnerable older adults can become when their health, independence, or living situation begins to change. I’ve also seen how difficult it can be for families to know where to turn, what questions to ask, and how to make the right decisions for someone they love. That experience is a big part of why I created Serene Steps.
My goal is to help in every way I can — by offering knowledgeable guidance, compassionate support, and care recommendations that truly reflect each person’s medical needs, lifestyle, preferences, and dignity.
With a strong clinical background and a deep understanding of family needs, Serene Steps provides comprehensive nursing assessments, nurse delegation services, personalized senior care placement, and ongoing support throughout the process.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple belief: every older adult deserves to feel safe, respected, heard, and well cared for, and every family deserves to feel supported and confident in the decisions they make.
Christina Li Care Coordinator
Hi, I’m Christina Li, the Care Coordinator at Serene Steps. I work closely with families throughout the placement process and will often be one of your main points of contact along the way.
For the past two years, I’ve worked as a Nursing Assistant, caring directly for older adults and seeing firsthand how challenging it can be for families to navigate changes in care, living arrangements, and daily support. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to compare options while also worrying about the well-being of someone you love.
At Serene Steps, I’m here to make that process easier. I help coordinate and facilitate facility tours, communicate with communities on your behalf, gather important information, and make sure families stay informed throughout the process.
My goal is to be a dependable and compassionate resource for every family we work with — someone you can reach out to with questions, concerns, or simply when you need a little more guidance. I want families to feel supported, heard, and confident as they take the next step in finding the right care for their loved one.
